Jammu: Security forces arrested an army personnel at the drop gate of Srinagar International Airport after recovering contraband substance from his baggage, officials said on Sunday.
Army personnel held with banned drugs at airportPolice and CRPF personnel apprehended the army personnel on Saturday after recovering poppy straw and a cannabis-like substance from his possession, the officials said.
The banned substances recovered included 213 grams of poppy straw and 69 grams of a cannabis-like substance. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and an investigation has been set in motion, they added.
