Modi gave wings to the great Indian dream

Once in a century, a great Indian dream emerges that can be called the Centurion Dream. These grand dreams belong to all people and are sparked by the towering personalities of the era. In the 19th century, this dream focused on building a modern India by leaving the dark medieval age behind. It was fuelled by Indian Renaissance leaders like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Vivekananda, and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. By the 20th century, the great Indian dream shifted toward achieving independence. This vital vision was shaped by influential figures such as Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Mahatma Gandhi.

In the 21st century, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a powerful voice to every Indian’s deep desire for dignity, opportunity, prosperity, security, and a better life. He turned these personal dreams into a shared national vision. This bold mission is called Viksit Bharat @2047. It outlines a grand future: an India that is economically powerful, ahead in technology, fair to all its people, deeply self-confident, and highly respected across the globe.

Viksit Bharat is a unique development model that rejects Western capitalism, Russian socialism, and Chinese communism. Instead, it is anchored in Integral Humanism, which puts the individual at the centre of development. Guided by Antyodaya, its ultimate goal is to bring prosperity to the last person in the last row.

Beyond tangible infrastructure and welfare schemes, Modi’s legacy is defined by a new paradigm of development. He has cultivated an environment of optimism, convincing 1.4 billion citizens not only that a prosperous future is attainable, but that its benefits will be shared by all. While India still works to provide basic necessities like food and housing, its youth now have much bigger dreams. Today’s young Indians aspire to build global companies, create new technology, and compete on the world stage.

Modi has turned this new mindset into a development strategy. India is moving from dependency to opportunity, scarcity to abundance, and from a global market to a global maker. The country’s growing influence at G-20 and BRICS summits clearly shows its rise from a global follower to a global leader.

India’s development model aims to spread prosperity beyond wealthy, urban areas by bringing millions into the formal economic and welfare system. Through initiatives like Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, mobile connectivity, rural housing, electricity, and clean water, the government gives ordinary citizens a platform to aspire and participate. Additionally, this strategy increasingly focuses on making development women-led.

India’s digital revolution has democratised entrepreneurship, transforming the nation from a country of job seekers into job creators. Supported by government programmes like Mudra financing and Stand-Up India, a booming startup ecosystem has emerged across sectors like fintech, e-commerce, and health technology. This shift allows geography to no longer limit opportunity, enabling small businesses, street vendors, and young entrepreneurs to achieve the dream of becoming their own employers.

Atmanirbhar Bharat promotes domestic capability in critical sectors alongside global integration, rather than economic isolation. Through the unifying narrative of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, Modi’s administration encourages India to pursue its possibilities instead of just managing problems. The ultimate goal of this strategy is achieving Viksit Bharat @2047, which means transforming the nation into a completely developed country.

And the journey continues, driven by an unmistakable central transformation. The Indian dream is no longer just about escaping poverty or seeking basic security. Instead, it has become a bold vision of creating prosperity, unlocking opportunity, and achieving global leadership. While Modi has sought to give wings to that dream, the responsibility of giving it flight now rests with every Indian.
