Famous international personality and Miss World Australia titleholder, Esma Voloder visited the Uma Mano Vikasa Kendram (UMVK) here on Friday. She observed the teaching activities and the training being given to the differently abled children at the Kendram. She greeted the children and the teaching staff with a Namaste and wished them for the New Year.

Kakinada: Famous international personality and Miss World Australia titleholder, Esma Voloder visited the Uma Mano Vikasa Kendram (UMVK) here on Friday. She observed the teaching activities and the training being given to the differently abled children at the Kendram. She greeted the children and the teaching staff with a Namaste and wished them for the New Year.

Speaking on the occasion, she informed her purpose of visit to India. “I really like the traditions, customs and the common lifestyles of the Indian people,” she said, expressing her joy over coming to India and called her visit a ‘proud moment’. She thanked the organisers for giving her an opportunity to spend time with the kids. UMVK’s executive director, S P Reddy said that their organisation was working here for the past 30 years and many specially abled children were brought up by the organisation.

He further informed that their organisation distributes the necessary utilities for the children, like crutches, hearing aids, tri-cycles and artificial limbs. He thanked the event organiser Sireesha who made Esma’s visit possible. Jio Rehabilitation Center director Lakshmi Narayana, Seetha Rama Krishna, S Uma Reddy and others took part on the event.
