Tirupati: TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said that the ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district would become one of the most sought after pilgrim centres after Tirumala soon.
Speaking to media persons in SPRH here on Friday evening after the successful conduct of Sri Sita Ramakalyanam that was held at Vontimitta on April 20, the TTD trust board chief said, elaborate arrangements were made by TTD in co-ordination with district government for the mega celestial wedding ceremony in the sprawling 70 acres of land at Vontimitta.
"Apart from the police and TTD vigilance, we have also deployed scouts, guides and srivari seva volunteers for crowd management who offered excellent services to devotees and ensuring smooth conduct of the holy fete", he added.
Further he said, the stage has been erected and large number of galleries were also set up providing seating capacity to over 75,000 devotees. "Apart from this, TTD has also arranged 150 Prasadam distribution counters to offer prasadams to the devotees. Over 7 lakh water packets, two lakh butter milk packets and over two lakh packets of "Mutyala Talambralu" have also been distributed to all the devotees. The floral and electrical decorations remained highlight of the festival. With the live telecast of the programme on SVBC, even the devotees across the world also cherished the event", he added.
