Visakhapatnam: TSR Foundation will honour the progressive farmers with Rythu Ranga Awards at a function to be held here on Sunday, said a release issued by TSR Foundation here on Saturday.
Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah would be the chief guest and Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of the Foundation Dr T Subbarami Reddy will present him with Swarnakankanam.
Former agriculture minister Vadde Sobhanadiswara Rao will present the awards to the farmers while Dr T Subbarami Reddy will felicitate Rosaiah and present him Swarnakankanam.
General secretary of CPM Rythu Coolie Sangham Vangala Subba Rao, general secretary of CPI Rythu Coolie Sangham KVV Prasad, In-charge of Congress Agricultural Affairs MB Nagi Reddy, president of Congress Kisan Keth Mazdoor Kanumuri Ravichandra Reddy and State BJP Kisan Morcha president Pudi Tirupathi Rao will be present on the occasion.
Follwing are the Rythu Ranga award recipients Mandava Srinivasa Rao, Uppala Prasada Rao, Kilari Thaviti Naidu and KV Suryanarayana Raju. Dr Subbarami Reddy recalled his association with Acharya NG Ranga. He said when he was appointed as chairman of TTD, Ranga came to Visakhapatnam and blessed him.
