Cop’s body found hanging
Semi-decomposed body of a 48-year-old police constable posted with Bheemili Police Station was found hanging in a mango orchard near G Talavalasa area under Bheemili Police Station limits on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Semi-decomposed body of a 48-year-old police constable posted with Bheemili Police Station was found hanging in a mango orchard near G Talavalasa area under Bheemili Police Station limits on Saturday. The deceased was identified as J Balaram. Inspector of Bheemili TA Naidu said that they are yet to ascertain whether it was suicide or murder.
Sources said that no visible injury marks were found on the body. Balaram was a native of Araku area in Vizag Agency and he is survived by wife and four children. He was transferred to Bheemili police station from Parawasa last year. Sources also said that Balaram was on leave for the past few days. The police registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC and shifted the body to King George Hospital for post-mortem.
