Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Sunni Wakf Board Protection Council president Altaf Raza on Thursday presented Chadar worth Rs 1.50 lakh to Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer, Rajasthan, wishing the Central government accord Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Altaf Raza, along with other Board Council members, went to Ajmer to offer special prayers. Speaking on the occasion, Altaf Raza said the members offered prayers for the all-round development of Andhra Pradesh.

Raza lamented the Central hovernment for not fulfilling the poll promises made during the bifurcation of the State. He demanded that Special Category Status accorded to Andhra Pradesh for the all-round development of the State. The Council National president Syed Sultan Hasan, Syed Nazeeruddin Baba and others were present on the occasion.
