When asked to comment on the ACB Court direction to complete the investigation into the ‘cash-for-vote’ case, Chandrababu Naidu said that the direction has to be studied.
Vijayawada: “What is there (in the ACB court direction)? My advocate will take care of it,” quipped Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday. When asked to comment on the ACB Court direction to complete the investigation into the ‘cash-for-vote’ case, Chandrababu Naidu said that the direction has to be studied.
He said his advocate would take care of the case as per the procedures. The ACB Court at Hyderabad had directed the Telangana ACB director to complete the investigation into the case and submit a report to the court by September 29.
The court, in response to a petition filed by Mangalagiri legislator Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, directed the ACB to complete the reports of the voice test of Chandrababu Naidu, which was caught on tapes.
There is speculation that the TS ACB would revive the charge-sheet by including the name of Chandrababu Naidu in the light of the fresh directions from the court. It is said that the TS ACB had secured reports of forensic lab in Mumbai that had tested the voice samples of Chandrababu Naidu to establish his involvement in the case.
While T-TDP working president and legislator A Revanth Reddy was arrested and later released on bail in the case, the Mangalagiri legislator had sought inclusion of Chandrababu Naidu’s name in the charge-sheet as the voice found in the tapes related to the case were proved to be that of Naidu.
