Chittoor: District Collector PS Pradyumna said on Monday that Chief Minister N Chandrababu would launch Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS) app in Kuppam on July 21. The LHMS is the brainchild of District SP Rajasekhar Babu and it is meant to prevent the robberies, dacoities, thefts and other crimes during the absence of the owners in their houses.

So far, 5 lakh house owners in the district have downloaded the LHMS app and registered their houses. It may be stated here that the SP has innovatively developed LHMS app recently. House owners, who will be leaving for out-station can register their names with the police by downloading app. If any person enters the locked house, the app would alert the police though command control centre and the accused would be caught red handed by the police.

This is a free service offered by district police. On Monday, Pradyumna registered his residence by downloading the app in his mobile. Speaking to the media here, the Collector said that the LHMS would be the most useful app to prevent burglaries and thefts in the locked houses.
