YSRCP holds protests for Special Category Status in ongole
The Prakasam district division of the YSR Congress Party organised human chains and protests in support of the MPs moving no-confidence motion against the Union government and demanding that the Centre announce Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, on Monday.

As per the call given by the YSR Congress Party president, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the Ongole Town YSRCP president Singaraju Venkatarao, state publicity committee chairman Damaraju Kranti Kumar, Vemuri Bujji, Badugu Indira, Kathari Sankar, Prabhavathi and other leaders and party cadre formed a human chain at the Church Center and protested in front of the statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Collectorate.
They raised slogans demanding the Special Category Status and explained that public that the SCS could change the economic picture of the Prakasam district with the coming of industries and increase of employment opportunities locally.At Parchuru, the YSRCP in-charge, Ravi Ramanatham Babu led the protests and organised the human chain at the Clock Tower Center.
In Darsi, the constituency in-charge of YSRCP, Badam Madhavareddy organised the Prajasankalpa Manaha Haram. In Chirala, the YSRCP cadre organised a human chain and protested at the Clock Tower Center.
In Kandukur, the opposition party in Assembly staged protest and formed human chain at the Post Office Center.
