Sports Complex to come up in Vijayawada

Amaravati: The government will construct a Sports Shopping Complex in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation limits, said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
At a review meeting on the sports and youth services at Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the Sports Complex will come up at Vidhyadharapuram in the city.
He directed the officials to create sports infrastructure at all the universities in the state, on par with Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur. He said that there must be sufficient playgrounds at all the educational institutions, including public and private.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to provide playgrounds in all the cities, towns, district headquarters, mandal headquarters and other major villages across the state.
On the other hand, the government is planning to launch a new scheme next month to provide unemployment allowance to the youth in the state.
In the review meeting, Minister for Sports and Youth Services Kollu Ravindra and other officials participated.
