Guntur: Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao stressed the need to participate in the sports. He inaugurated the 64th state-level school games under-17, state-level inter-district kabaddi tournament at Trikoteswara Swamy Zilla Parishad High School in Kotappakonda on Saturday.
The tournament will be held for three days from Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he said those who excel in the sports, will shine in other fields also.
He called upon the youth to spend at least one hour per day on sports.
He said that it is the responsibility of the teachers to bring out innate talent in the students.
He exhorted the players to draw inspiration badminton players PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal.
