Visakhapatnam: The Mahila Chethana and Human Rights Forum (HRF) activists took out rallies here on Tuesday demanding justice to Amrutha Varshini, wife of Pranay, who was killed by former’s father, at Miryalaguda town in Telangana State.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahila Chetana president K Padma demanded that those who were involved in the murder of Pranay and who were behind the murder be punished immediately. She appealed to the TRS government to provide the government job and financial assistance to Amrutha Varshini to lead her life independently.
Kula Vivaksha Porata Samiti (KVPS) leaders also staged a dharna at Dr BR Ambedkar statue near Dabagardens demanding stringent punishment to the accused. KVPS leader RP Raju alleged that due to political pressure, local police had failed to react on time in Pranay’s murder case.
