Kakinada: A mega units grounding mela will be held at divisional-level in East Godavari district on 12th of this month for beneficiaries under Adarana, said district Collector Kartikeya Mishra.
Addressing media here on Friday, the Collector said that in total 25,958 beneficiaries of SC, ST, Kapu, BC corporations would be given Rs 279 crore worth of units in this grounding mela.
He also said that 8,425 beneficiaries of Adarana scheme were also included in this grounding.
The Collector said that this was for the first time in the district that such a huge number of beneficiaries would be getting benefits under poverty elimination programme.
The Collector also said that nearly 50,000 to 60,000 beneficiaries would be covered in second and subsequent phases.
He said that this Mela would be conducted at seven divisional headquarters in the district.
These seven places are: Ananda Bharathi grounds at Kakinada, Ambedkar Bhavan at Amalapuram, TTDC at Sealcoat for Peddapuram division, Anam Kalakendram at Rajamahendravaram, PVP Govt Junior College Ramachandrapuram, ITDA office at Rampachodavaram and at TWAPR School in Chintoor on 12th of this month.
