The 18th District Collectors and Heads of the Departments conference is scheduled to be held on December 30 at Undavalli in Guntur district which is the first official conference after the State government withdrew general consent to the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI to conduct raids in the State
Amaravati: The 18th District Collectors and Heads of the Departments conference is scheduled to be held on December 30 at Undavalli in Guntur district which is the first official conference after the State government withdrew general consent to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct raids in the State. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to address the issue apart from other development and welfare activities.
The other developments like Telangana Assembly general elections, Enforcement Directorate raids on Sujana Chowdary, TDP MP and former Union minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet expansion, TDP taking a step towards forming grand anti-BJP alliance to save democracy and other major developments that took place since the last collectors' conference.
Though majority of these are political developments, the officials in the State government are expecting that the Chief Minister will elaborate on them in the conference to give an overall idea on it.
From December, the Chief Minister is going to hold it on monthly basis, whereas the previous conferences were held on quarterly basis. Since the general elections are nearing, Chandrababu Naidu decided to personally monitor the progress of each development activity and welfare programme.
Chandrababu Naidu has decided to organise collectors' conferences on monthly basis to have more grip on the issues and to ensure speedy completion of the development projects. He also wants to see that saturated point is reached in implementing welfare schemes.
