Kurnool: The ACB sleuths caught Dasari Mallikarjuna Rao, who is working as Superintendent in DM Division in Srisailam Project, red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant at his office in Srisailam on Monday.
According to ACB DSP C Jayarama Raju, VV Giri, who is working as Senior Assistant in the same office of the accused, was placed under suspension some time ago.
He asked the Superintendent to issue him official documents relating to his suspension so that he can file a petition in the High Court. But the accused demanded Giri to pay him bribe for doing official favour. The DSP said a case was filed against Mallikarjuna Rao and will be produced in the ACB Court on Tuesday.
