Chittoor: Mayor K Hemalatha said the proposal for construction of statue island has been kept in pending due to technical and financial reasons. Speaking to The Hans India, the Mayor stated that MLA D A Satyaprabha took a great deal of interest to construct statue island in Chittoor.
She further said approval from the Director of Municipal Administration is still awaited. She exuded confidence that drinking water supply scheme taken up at a cost of Rs 280 crore would be completed by March 2019. TDP leaders Praveen, Yuvaraj, Srikanth and others were present.
