YS Jagan attack case: Srinivas transferred to Rajahmundry jail
On completing the investigation in the attack case on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Vizag airport, NIA has produced the accused Srinivas Rao at Vijayawada Metropolitan Session court on Friday
Vijayawada: On completing the investigation in the attack case on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Vizag airport, NIA has produced the accused Srinivas Rao at Vijayawada Metropolitan Session court on Friday.
In the court hearing, the lawyers of Srinivas filed a petition stating that their client has no security at Vijayawada jail.
For which, government PP have said to the court that they can't provide any security to Srinivas. So the court has directed to shift Srinivas from Vijayawada jail to Rajahmundry central jail.
To the petition filed by the NIA was adjourned to 23 January, and the court has directed SIT Vizag to file a counter-petition in the case.
Before that, In the morning NIA officers have taken Srinivas Rao to the government hospital in Vijayawada for medical tests.
