Visakhapatnam: Fielding nine sitting MLAs out of total 15 Assembly segments from the district, the TDP is gearing up to face the coming general elections boldly.

Unless, there will not be sudden changes on the last minute, sitting MLAs V Ganesh Kumar, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, P V G R Naidu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murty, Palla Srinivasa Rao, Ch Ayyannapatrudu, P Ramesh Babu, Giddi Eeswari and P Govinda Satyanarayana names have finalised from Vizag South, East, West, Pendurty, Gajuwaka, Narsipatnam, Yelamanchili, Paderu, and Anakapalle segments respectively by the party high command.

Son of late Kidari Sarveswara Rao, K Shravan Kumar will contest from Araku Valley Assembly segment.

With the adverse reports on the sitting MLAs V Anitha from Payakaraopeta, KSN Raju from Chodavaram and former MLA from Madugula G Ramanaidu, party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is looking for alternative candidates in these Assembly constituencies.

Meanwhile, there are reports that, the high command is seriously examining to filed Nara Lokesh from Bheemili Assembly segment. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao is presently representing from Bheemili.

The Vizag North constituency, which is being representing by P Vishnukumar Raju, the party high command is asking Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao to contest from this segment.

Meanwhile, Adari Anand, son of the party senior most leader and Chairman of Visakha Dairy Adari Tulasi Rao, is seeking party ticket to contest from Anakapalle Lok Sabha segment.

The high command is considering Tulasi Rao’s candidature due to his strong milk farmers network, good relations and sound financial background, according to sources.

The high command is yet to take a decision on the candidature of Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency. GITAM President and grandson of late MVVS Murthy M Sri Bharath is making efforts to contest from this segment.

“There are chances to change the ticket aspirant names after observing the YSR Congress Party contestants. There are some new names are also under consideration for various segments.

Former minister Konathala Ramakrishna will join in the party shortly and he is seeking Assembly ticket. The list of other candidates will be finalised shortly,” one of the TDP MLAs told to The Hans India.
