Yamaha has launched a new scooter called the Cygnus Ray-ZR. Based on the Ray-Z platform, this scooter was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The scooter has been designed around the youthful 'Real Boy’s Scooter' theme, and sports well-sculpted and muscular elements all over.

The Cygnus Ray-ZR is powered by an 113cc ‘Blue Core’ engine that is an air-cooled, four-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve unit that uses Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This is the same engine found on the Fascino and Alpha models from Yamaha. At 103kg, the scooter weighs the same as the Fascino.

The Cygnus Ray-ZR sports a newly designed instrument cluster and has 21 litres of under-seat storage. It will be available in a drum and disc-brake version that will be priced at Rs 52,000 and Rs 54,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
