Sumanth, Nanditha are Lovers

Although his recent co-production ‘Romance’ received flak from the audience for its content, director Maruthi is on a production spree. Having associated already with films like ‘Love You Bangaram’ and ‘Mahesh’ as a co-producer, the director will now be presenting a new film, ‘Lovers’, with Sumanth Ashwin and Nanditha in the lead.

The film had its muhurat on Wednesday in Hyderabad. Producer Bellamkonda Suresh switched on the camera for the first shot which was directed by V Vinayak. Harinath who helmed the Srikanth-starrer ‘Lucky’ will direct the flick.

Maruthi said he will not be supervising the film. “I’m just presenting it on Maruthi Talkies. It is the hard work of Harinath who invested nine months on the script, a wholesome family entertainer. The regular shoot will commence from August 26 in Hyderabad,” he said.

Mahendra Babu who co-produced films like ‘Pellaina Kothalo’, ‘Simha’ and ‘Bus Stop’ in the past will be producing the flick along with S Nagavamsi. Jeevan Babu will render tunes for the film which will have cinematography by ‘Malharbhatt Joshi of ‘Allari’ and ‘Soggadu’ fame.
