Nayanthara's birthday in Kochi

Nayantara turns 29 today. The beautiful heroine has flown to Kochi to spend the special day with her family. The actress has been one of the hot favourites of film-makers ever since she stepped into the film industry.

Even controversies couldn't stop her from being a popular actress. Soon as she broke up with Prabhu Dheva, Nayan made a comeback in Kollywood with Raja Rani and later Aarambam.

These movies were very much appreciated by her audiences and now the busiest bee is awaiting the release of her next flick in Tamil titled 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal '

Nayantara began her outstanding film career by playing a girl-next-door role in Satyan Anthikad's Malayalam film Manassinakkare which was a huge hit. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with Ayya and after that she appeared in the commercially successful film Ghajini with Suriya. Later,she acted with southern super star Rajinikant in Chandramukhi.

She will next be seen in Shekar Kammula's Anamika, the Telugu remake of Vidya Balan's Kahaani.
