There were reports earlier that a jain mutt in Karnataka had objected to the use of Baahubali title by Rajamouli for his upcoming film.
The group supposedly contended that Jains are peace loving people and the word Baahubali is another name for one of their saints Gomateshwara whose gigantic statue has been erected at Shravanabelagola in Karnataka.
It was said that the jain mutt had filed a petition to protest against the use of name Baahubali for a film which had lot of violence. However, now we hear that there was no petition at all. The news was confirmed by none other than Rajamouli himself.

The director tweeted: "we haven’t received any notice from anyone regarding #Baahubali. As told before, our story has got nothing to do with Gomateshwara."
The crew of Rajamouli's Baahubali had a break for Sankranthi festival.
In the little time that he got, the maverick director took time to watch Uyyala Jampala. He also had a word of appreciation for the actors. On his Twitter page, SS tweeted:
"Watched “Uyyala Jampala”.So simple but So fresh.Congratulations2 prod RamMohan garu and dir virinchi.Very impressed withd cast esp rajtharun."
The crew is now back to work as evident from the director's tweet:
"Was a refreshing festive Holiday. Back to work at RFC. War restarts tomorrow."
