Telugu cinema is all about glitzy sets, glamourous actresses, heroes with mass appeal, hilarious comedy and music that makes you tap your feet. It’s only the mash-up of all these that gives you the ultimate result – entertainment.

And our silver screen stars are ever ready to give us a dose of entertainment… or shall we call it ready to “serve the full plate meals”? From seniors to juniors, everyone is leaving no stone unturned to ensure they put up a great show and the audiences whistle, applaud and gyrate to the performance.

But one of the most interesting extravaganzas, in the offing, that is sure to catch one’s eye is Nagarjuna’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’. To be directed by newcomer Kalyan, and to be co-produced by Nagarjuna along with P Ram Mohan of ‘Uyyala Jampala’ fame, the film is one entertainer to watch out for.

Fresh from the success of ‘Manam’, Nagarjuna is ready to experiment and promises to offer something novel to the audiences. Speaking about the film, he said, “The film will be a complete entertainer on the lines of ‘Hello Brother’. Interestingly, I play dual roles in the film. The story is exciting and is different. Just like ‘Manam’, I plan to surprise everyone.”

Another film that’s making the audience wait anxiously is definitely the 150th film of Tollywood’s Megastar Chiranjeevi. And Chiru doesn’t want to create a sensation with this landmark film but rather prefers an entertainer that is going to make fans go into a tizzy.

Speaking to a website about the project, he had said, “I want to give what people want. Audiences and fans want a complete entertainer from me. This film will have a lot of comedy and masala.”

When quizzed why he wants to do an entertainer rather than a message oriented film considering it is going to be not only a comeback film but also a landmark one, he said, “I don’t want to make a historical film like Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy or a message oriented film just because it’s my 150th film.”

Another film that is gearing up to entertain is Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Gopala Gopala’ that will hit the screens in the January of 2015. A satirical drama directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasany (Dolly), the film is a remake of Hindi film ‘OMG – Oh My God!’. The film, according to our sources, promises to be a complete fun ride compared to the original which turns into a serious drama as it progresses. Moroever, Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan will be seen on screen together for the first time. In addition, the presence of matinee idol Mithun Chakraborty is another factor that makes the film an entertainer to look out for.
