Fans have waited for a long time and the announcement came out of Sony studio's voice. Robert Downey Jr. has got a part in Marvel film's Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor will be playing his usual role as Tony Stark aka Iron Man, perhaps to play the mentor or spiritual father.
It is rumoured than Tony Stark makes a web casting suit for Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland when the young man actually starts the movie with his homemade suit. If this turns true, Homecoming will be the story of the of the origins of alliance between the Avenger and Spider-man in Captain America: Civil War.
The news, from Hollywood Reporter, comes from a separate deal the actor has negotiated with Marvel and Sony beyond his current standalone deals to play Iron Man in both parts of Avengers: Infinity War. The news is not entirely suprising. Just last week Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige confirmed that other Marvel movie characters would be appearing in Homecoming, but Tony Stark specifically has been rumored to be involved in the movie for over a year at this point—which makes sense, as he is heavily involved in introducing the character into the Marvel world in Civil War.
