Identified as Pammi Rajesh, a resident of Madhapur, was on his way back from Hyderguda along with his family were travelling towards Banjara Hills via the Panjagutta flyover on Friday evening. At the same time, six students of Keshav Memorial Engineering College in Narayaguda were speeding from the opposite direction under the influence of alcohol.

The driver of the car is reported to have lost control and hit the road divider, further somersaulting over to the other side of the road. The car landed on Rajesh's vehicle killing him on the spot and injuring others including a child who were with him. The injured were shifted to the nearby Apollo Hospitals.

The police informed that the students - Surya, Vishnu, Shavel, Ashwin, Sai Ramesh and Alan Joseph stay in a private hostel in Himayatnagar and were heading back after watching a movie in Cinemax Banjara Hills when the mishap occurred. A case has been registered and the police investigation has begun.
