Hyderabad: Unable to cope with withdrawal syndrome after stopping drinking alcohol, a 43-year old man committed suicide by jumping from fourth floor of Care Hospital at Banjara Hills here on Wednesday.
According to Panjagutta police, Praveen Goud, a businessman and a resident of L B Nagar, was admitted to Care Hospital for treatment of withdrawal syndrome.
However, Praveen who used to consume huge quantities of alcohol was unable to cope with the sudden change. When his attendants were away, he jumped off the hospital building.
However, the relatives alleged that he died of negligence. The police registered a case under section 174 of Cr P C and began investigation.
