Shuttler hailed for CWG bronze effort
Hyderabad: St Ann’s College for Women at Mehdipatnam on Tuesday honoured its celebrated student, P V Sindhu with a colourful felicitation function in its campus. The third year B Com student and iconic shuttler won a bronze medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games (CWG) that was held recently in Glasgow.
Describing Sindhu as a jewel in the St Ann’s crown, Principal Dr Sr K Anthony Mary gave away cash award and hoped that she would continue to win more laurels for the country. Sindhu was the toast of the faculty and her batch-mates who graced the occasion.
In her thanksgiving speech, Sindhu said the college was a source of constant encouragement for her and she would remain indebted to them.
