Vizag-based Satish Babu, a volunteer of Isha Foundation, has been cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to raise awareness about #RallyforRivers Campaign. As he passed through the city on Friday, an event was held at People’s Plaza to felicitate Satish for his efforts.

Satish Babu is cycling in support of Rally for Rivers Campaign initiated by Isha foundation founder, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who himself is driving over 7,000 kilometres across India from Kanyakumari to Kashmir conducting major events in 16 states, 23 cities to raise awareness about India's depleting rivers and to garner support for a draft policy that aims to rejuvenate rivers with a comprehensive solution. Satish Babu shall continue south to Kanyakumari to complete his rally.

By 2030, it is estimated that only 50 per cent of the water needed for our survival will be available and 25 per cent of the country will become a desert. In addition, many people joined the rally at Charminar to raise awareness about #RallyforRivers Campaign.
