A 19-year-old girl named Laxmi who was learning tailoring went missing under PS Shankarpally. The family hails from Maharajpet village in Shankarpally mandal. Her father earlier in the day had enquired why she was not going for work to which she replied that she was ill.

The girl usually leaves home early in the morning and returns home by evening. Kishan, a boy who stays nearby said that she had left for Mokila. When the news that she did not reach Mokila became apparent, the father decided to lodge a complaint. Then he again contacted his relatives and asked them about his daughter but could not trace her.
