Kadapa: KSRM Engineering College is an institution that has excelled in providing advanced engineering education in civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and computer science, said K Sivananda Reddy, the correspondent. Chemical engineering is the most promising branch as it offers lucrative jobs and demand for this branch is overwhelming not only in our country, but also abroad.
So, in order to cater to the huge demand for this field, the college is starting this branch from the academic year 2013-14, he said in a press release. The college has opted for this branch as it has already established a Centre for Renewable Energy and Management (CREAM) where advanced nanotechnology fields are being researched and explored, he informed.
The Centre currently focuses on developing several nanotechnology based advanced emissions catalyst solutions in collaboration with MAN Turbo and Diesel, the largest marine and truck engine manufacturer in Germany. The students of this department would have their course work directly tied up with these advanced infrastructure available at CREAM. In connection with getting sanction for this new branch, K Sivananda Reddy said that this branch will emerge as the major shareholder in tomorrow’s economy and a highly promising avenue for jobs.
