Mahbubnagar: Stressing on the need to take preventive measures to curb crimes and at the same time to ensure speedy investigation into crimes, Superintendent of Police B Anuradha on Tuesday directed all station house officers (sub- inspectors, circle inspectors and investigation officers) in the district to give a special attention to accelerate and complete the investigations into all pending cases at the earliest.
With a view to give suggestions and ideas for the police investigating officer on what should be done to accelerate the resolution of pending cases, the SP organised an Under Investigation (UI) Mela, where in all the top officials involved in the investigation of cases took part.
While speaking on the occasion Anuradha said, “We want all the statistics and details of cases that remained unresolved and pending for long police station wise. A comprehensive report should be prepared and submitted to the government. Therefore, all the officials need to speed up the investigation into pending cases and, if necessary, special teams should be formed to arrest the absconding culprits and bring them all to book and resolve the pending cases as early as possible as directed by the DGP.”
The SP said as soon as a case is registered the officials should start the investigation as early as possible, so that justice is provided to the victim.
The SP stressed the need to investigate foolproof the cases which are pending for long because the accused are still at large. “To nab the culprits, special investigation teams at the circle wise and division wise should be formed and focus should be on to resolve such cases on priority,” directed the SP.
The SP also informed the investigating officers to keep in constant touch with the higher-ups and senior cops to seek suggestions, ideas and advises so that they can become more expert in cracking the complex cases.
The SP directed all the police officials in the district to take it as a challenge to complete all the pending cases in the police stations in the district and ensure all cases are resolved as early as possible.
