Hyderabad: As balladeer Gaddar sang ‘Podusthunna poddu meeda nadusthna kalama’, the audience went into a flight of Telangana movement days when the number became the most popular with the youth in villages.
Gaddar, at the Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi's massive public meeting at Medchal near here on Friday, rendered the song, sending the audience into raptures.
As he sang, the audience gave a huge applause to him, as if they were concurring with him on the theme of the song.
Later Gaddar said that Sonia Gandhi had bestowed statehood to Telangana but those who came to power in the new state had neglected to nurture the baby by not feeding it with milk. The same rulers are now going to the people singing lullabies, he said.
