The Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation GHMC took several major decisions in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Mayor Dr Bonthu Rammohan at GHMC Headquarters on Thursday

Hyderabad: The Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) took several major decisions in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan at GHMC Headquarters on Thursday.

The Standing Committee has approved 14th Finance Commission for the year 2018-19. The services of 250 outsourcing employees, who are working as Engineers, have been extended for another year. The steel bridge from Indira Park to Nallakunta via Hindi Mahavidyalaya has been approved.

The Community Organisers who are working in Urban Community Development their honorarium pay of Rs. 1000/- has been enhanced. The works are which are pending with regard to Engineering and Swachh Programmes etc., will be discussed with the concerned Corporators circle wise.

The Standing Committee Members have requested all the Corporators to take their active participation for the Swachh Survekshan 2019 to get top most place. The retired persons who are working on contract basis has also been extended.

The Standing Committee meeting was attended by GHMC Commissioner M. Dana Kishore and members G. Anjaiah, Singireddy Swarnalatha, Mohd. Murtuza Ali, Nasreen Sultana, Abdul Wahab, Mohd. Majid Hussain, V. Srinivas Reddy, S. Sheshu Kumari, Thumu Sravan Kumar, Jagdeeshwar Goud and A. Saraswathi.

The Standing Committee has congratulated Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on assuming charge as Telangana CM for the second term. The budget estimates for the year 2019-20 has been placed before the Standing Committee which will be discussed in the next Standing Committee Meeting. After that before 10th of January it will be placed in the General Body Meeting for its approval.
