BENGALURU: On Friday the Congress leadership marked its word and gave a nod for the expansion and reshuffling of the cabinet for Saturday. The office of the chief minister is reportedly taking its own time at the Raj Bhavan to have the swearing-in ceremony.

As the Congress had planned to have the ceremony at 5.30 PM, sources said that the governor Vajubhai Vala is not in town between 5.30 PM and 6.30 PM. Still, the Congress is keen to complete the process, no matter the time.

Rahul Gandhi the AICC president has approved a list of members who are to be inducted into the cabinet, apart from the parliament secretaries and chairpersons who are to be appointed to the boards and corporations. Congress will be getting 20 of the total statutory body posts.

Two ministers are likely to be dropped. While R Shankar the forest minister whose name is to be dropped was already doing the rounds, the party leadership may also be serving marching orders on the municipal administration minister Ramesh L Jarkiholi.
