JAIPUR/BENGALURU: Fights broke out and it was a chaotic environment at Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur on Tuesday when local groups demanded that a play named ‘Eidgah Ke Jinnat’, should be cancelled. The play is directed by Bengaluru-based Abhishek Majumdar and is themed around the recent incidents in Kashmir.
A 25-member group from Jansamasya Niwaran Manch, reached Kala Kendra and shouted slogans against the play. They said the play has hurt national sentiments, and filed a complaint asking the police to intervene. The play was to be staged at 4.30 PM Tuesday but the organizers announced the cancellation.
