Nizamabad: State Director of Marketing Department Lakshmibai expressed her ire against the commission agents for going on strike.

On Saturday, she paid a surprise visit to the marketing office and enquired as to why the commission agents were holding protest demonstrations although she has seen several times workers going on protests.

Lakshmibai said that licenses were given to the commission agents to purchase food grains from the farmers and it was improper on their part to go on strike.

She said that the government has not imposed any conditions on them while making purchases from farmers. She said that the farmers cannot be forced to sell only at government purchasing centres.
