Re-Registration must for Telangana vehicles A final notification is soon to be issued by the Telangana Government directing Motorists in the state to change their vehicle number plates from AP to TS Code.
A final notification is soon to be issued by the Telangana Government directing Motorists in the state to change their vehicle number plates from AP to TS Code. Telangana Government in June 2014 issued a GO asking motorists to go for a re-registration of their vehicles within 4 months duration. But after a motorist challenged the decision and filed a petition in the High Court, the Government’s decision was put on hold.

High Court imposed a stay on the GO making it clear to Telangana Government with serious remarks that with power, the Government can’t do anything and everything under the sun.
Questioning the re-registration method of standing in long queues, the Court’s question has made Transport Department come up with new software that helps motorists to complete the re-registration through Online Portal or Mee Seva. This would help the motorists to avoid making rounds to the RTA office.
