NTPC takes up village development works
NTPC takes up village development works. In an effort to contribute its mite in developing rural infrastructure, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has taken up works for laying CC roads in villages of Karimnagar district.
Ramaguntam: In an effort to contribute its mite in developing rural infrastructure, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has taken up works for laying CC roads in villages of Karimnagar district. The corporation has embarked on developing of CC roads in six villages - Badripalli, Kannala, Ranapur, Elkalapalli, Malyalapalli and Kazipalli - with an investment of Rs 1.70 crores under Corporate Social Responsibility in Sustainable Development (CSR-SD) for the financial year 2014-15.

While the construction of roads at Badripalli and Elkalappli was completed, the same is under progress at Ranapur, Malyalapalli and Kazipalli. As a part of this programme, Bhoomi Puja was performed at Kannala village on Monday in Ward No.1 (SC Colony) and Ward No. 4 (ST colony) by Kannala sarpanch Sura Sunitha, MPTC Shravanth, 1st Ward member Mothilal, 4th Ward member Islavath Chinnamma and Ward member Kishan Naik.
NTPC officials A Ramkishan, Deputy Manager T Vittal Kumar, and Manager A Balaji and villagers were present on the occasion. The officials said NTPC was committed for the overall development of nearby Village with special thrust on infrastructure development.
