While the cost of each unit of 560 sft area would be 5.04 lakh in rural areas, in urban areas it would be Rs 5.30 lakh, he said. Commenting on pending housing bills, KCR stated that Collectors were told to enquire about veracity of beneficiaries and clear genuine bills.

The cabinet also approved caste-based reservation system in the appointment of nominated Chairmen and Director posts in all Agricultural Market Committees in the State from this year. Out of 183 marketing committees, 13 would be reserved for STs in the agency areas. Reservations would be given to BCs, SCs and STs in the remaining 170 committees.

The reservation would be implemented through lottery system this year. Each market committee would have one Chairman and 15 to 20 directors.
