The stage is all set for the Ayuta Maha Chandi Yagam, which is to be performed at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli from Wednesday until December 27. As one enters the village, the entire Yagashala, decorated with banana leaves, reverberates with devotional songs of Chandi Matha. Plants have been placed right from the entrance up to the main road making the entire place divine with greenery.

There are buses, stationed at the parking lot which is about 2 kilo metres away from the farmhouse, would carry devotees to the Yagasthali.
The security arrangements, drinking water, toilet facility, lighting, CCTV cameras, huge TV screens, separate galleries for VVIPs, devotees and media personnel, cottages for VVIPs, ambulance and fire services, rescue teams and health centres are already in place.
There are 108 fire pits arranged at the Yagasthali. 11 brahmins would recite Vedas at every fire pit. The Yagam would be performed from 7 am till noon and from 3.45 pm till 7 pm every day. Fifteen hundred Ritwiks from six States would recite vedic chants. To ensure all devotees are properly fed, about 500 catering personnel would be working throughout the day to serve devotees anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000. Dining hall and storage area were built for the purpose in eight acres of agricultural land. About 3 lakh laddoos for prasadam have already been prepared.
To provide a spiritual experience for the devotees at the venue, various cultural programmes would be held. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister performed Trilokya Gowri Homam, Guru Prasana, Ganapathi Puja, Gopuja and Udaka Shanti along with his wife Shobha at the farmhouse.
On Wednesday, Chandi Yatralekhanam, Parayanam, Panchabali and Yogini Bali will be performed, followed by Sriramaleela Geya Kathaganam by Acharya Ayachitam Nateswara Sharma and Rukmabhatla Narasimha swamy. Harikatha, Geyaval miki and spiritual addresses would follow later.
