Mahbubnagar: The Telangana Backward Class (BC) Front of Mahbubnagar has given an ultimatum to the State government for meddling with the creamy layer issue in the State. As the State government has proposed to put a cap of Rs 6 lakh for the BCs to be included in the creamy layer,

the BC Front of Mahabubnagar has demanded it be raised to Rs 15 lakh. While speaking to media, president of the Front Jakka Chandra Mohan said, “The BCs are yet to get their share in jobs, education and politics. Putting cap of Rs 6 lakh for the BCs is an attempt to curb their legitimate rights of development.”

He also lamented at the State government’s inclusion of the transgender (Hijras) into BCs and said it was an issue of self respect. “All the previous governments also attempted to meddle with the BCs creamy layer, but ultimately they had to see the wrath of the BCs and retrieved back. Now, KCR will also meet the same fate,” opined Mohan.
