Gaiety marks Sri Rama Navami
Sri Rama Navami celebrations were organised on a grand scale in the district on Friday. A large number of devotees thronged Rama temples in various places to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Rama with his consort Goddess Sita. Scores of devotees participated in the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita in the Ramagir Ramalayam.
Nalgonda: Sri Rama Navami celebrations were organised on a grand scale in the district on Friday. A large number of devotees thronged Rama temples in various places to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Rama with his consort Goddess Sita. Scores of devotees participated in the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita in the Ramagir Ramalayam.
District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, along with his wife and SP Vikram Jeet Duggal participated in the event. On behalf of the district administration, the Collector and his wife offered pearls and silk clothes to the deities. The temple authorities, under the leader ship of temple Chairman Burri Chaitanya, made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the public.
The authorities of Yadadri temple conducted Sri Rama Navami celebrations in a grand manner. District Minister G Jagadish Reddy and his family participated in the celebrations at Miryla village of Nuthankal mandal and Pillalamarri village of Suryapet mandal and offered pearls and silk clothes to Lord Rama and Sita, on behalf of the government.
The district police made security arrangement at all the Rama and Hanuman temples across the district to avoid any untoward incidents during the celebrations.
