Hyderabad: Twenty days after Holiday Theodore, who gave birth to a baby girl on board the Cebu Pacific Air flight while travelling from Dubai to Manila, and brought to a city hospital, is now on her way back to Manila with the baby named Haven, meaning- a good place.

The baby was completely blue and cold and had severe breathing difficulty when the specialised transport team first received her at the airport. The baby, which weighed just 1.7 kg at that time, is now a healthy 2.5 kg.

Dr C V S Laxmi, chief neonatologist, Apollo Cradle, Jubilee Hills said, “Normally we do not allow a baby so young to travel but the mother is homesick and wants to go. A doctor would be travelling along with the family.” Dr Mohammed Yasir Arafath would be accompanying the family.

The trained Pediatrician would supervise the baby's condition during the flight, as there is a chance of baby requiring oxygen support in midair as the oxygen levels in the flight fall marginally at high altitudes.
