Telangana State government has speeded up arrangements for the three-day Urban Mobility India (UMI) conference, to be attended by more than 1500 national and international delegates, from November 4 in the city. 

Hyderabad: Telangana State government has speeded up arrangements for the three-day Urban Mobility India (UMI) conference, to be attended by more than 1500 national and international delegates, from November 4 in the city.

State Secretary to Municipal Administration and Urban Development Navin Mittal held a meeting with the stake holders here and reviewed the progress in the arrangements.

The official asked the Tourism Department to provide accommodation and to facilitate travel and tour packages for the visitors. He also suggested a travel desk be set up at the conference site to facilitate booking of tour packages.

RTC officials have been asked to provide shuttle service to the delegates from the hotels to the conference venue. The IT department would facilitate free Wi-Fi at the venue. The theme of this year’s conference is intelligent, inclusive and sustainable mobility.

The conference would provide a platform to churn out ideas and thoughts for promoting best practices across India and different parts of the world and carving out the way forward for improving urban mobility in the country.
