Hyderabad: All India Central Excise Inspectors Association (AICEIA) members staged a day-long dharna in front of GST Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Association members said this was unfair of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) administration towards its own employees.
They demanded that employees be transferred and that there be a guideline during appointment that after a certain period they would be transferred to their respective hometown
Employees from Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi and Coimbatore working in Hyderabad demanded a transfer to their hometown as per the guidelines of ministry.
The autocratic decisions are badly affecting the morale of the workforce and in turn affecting the health of the organization they said.
