vizayaVizianagaram: District Collector Veerabrahmaiah said that all arrangements were made for the panchayat elections that would be conducted soon. The voter list would be published in 923 village panchayats on Tuesday, he said. The village-wise lists were separated on the basis of the last voters' list that was published on January 17, he said. Addressing a press conference at the mini conference hall here on arrangements for panchayat elections, the Collector on Monday said that the voter list would be displayed at four places in the village, that is, at the panchayat office, school, ration shop, post office or Anganwadi centre. The voters should verify their names and those who are qualified but their names are not there should fill up Form six and submit it to the booth level officials, he said. Objections can be filed through Form seven and revisions can be made through Form eight, he added. A polling station has been arranged in each ward. On the whole, there are 8,750 polling stations in the district. There are 13,10,157 voters in the district. The voter list would be revised until the election notification is announced. The BC voters' schedule would also be released on Tuesday and even this would be revised, he said. The Collector would function as the District Election Officer and the Joint Collector, Zilla Parishad CEO and District Panchayati Officer will function as the assistant election officers.
