Kondru, Satrucherla mobbed

Vizianagaram: Activists of Samaikyandhra movement accosted the ministers Satrucherla Vijayarama Raju and Kondru Murali at Pusapatirega near here while they were travelling on the route. The activists were demonstrating on the national highway at the time on Sunday.

The agitators, who came to know that Minister Kondru Murali would travel via Pusapatirega, mobbed him there. The minister got down from his car and spoke to them. The agitators surrounded him raising ‘Jai Samaikyandhra’ slogans and demanded that he should participate in the agitation. For this the minister said that he had already resigned in favour of Samaikyandhra and if necessary he would participate in the agitation. Meanwhile, the convoy of Minister Satrucherla passed that way towards Srikakulam. The agitators stopped the convoy and demanded the minister’s participation in the agitation. As he agreed to work hard for the cause of united AP, they let the convoy pass. Later, the protestors formed a human chain.

The agitation for Samaikyandhra entered the 19th day in the district on Sunday. Members of APNGOA took out a huge rally in the town demanding Samaikyandhra. Congress party activists paraded the effigy of KCR on a bull. The agitators performed homams at Bondapalli village of Cheepurupalli. They pleaded for a change of heart in Sonia, Azad and Digvijay Singh.
The agitation has spread all over the district. People from various walks of life are taking part. They said they would continue the agitation until the State is kept united.
