This move is part of a trend in the smartphone industry in 2026, where brands are raising prices across the board. The main reason behind these price hikes is a global memory shortage, which has been fuelled by the growth of artificial intelligence. Apple has not stayed outside this trend either. The latest iPhone models have also been launched with a price rise of Rs 30,000.

Samsung has announced a price increase that affects all storage options, including the top‑of‑the‑line Galaxy S26 Ultra with 1TB of storage. Therefore, if you were thinking about getting the Galaxy S26 or Samsung’s expensive flagship the new prices are now in effect, for both models.

Details on the new Samsung Galaxy S26 series prices

Samsung has raised prices on the Galaxy S26 Plus and Ultra — every model is now Rs 20,000 more expensive than before.

For the Plus: the 12GB/256GB version now costs Rs 1,39,999, up from Rs 1,19,999. The 512GB version went from Rs 1,39,999 to Rs 1,59,999.

For the Ultra: the 12GB/256GB model now costs Rs 1,59,999, up from Rs 1,39,999. The 512GB model went from Rs 1,59,999 to Rs 1,79,999. And the top model, with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, now costs Rs 2,09,999, up from Rs 1,89,999.

So, no matter which variant you pick, you're paying Rs 20,000 more than what it launched at.
