Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University Vice Chancellor Professor Kavita Daryani Rao expressed that there is a paradigm shift in the present-day education.

The vice chancellor inaugurated 'Samalokanam' an awareness programme on Architecture and Design Education here on Saturday. GITAM Director G Sunil Kumar and Director (student affairs) A Sreeram and HMTV Vice President Muttu Kumar were also present.

Daryani Rao said that the architecture and design institutes have been imparting life skills to students, so that they would be able to perform well.

She expressed dismay that the skills learned might not match at workplace. Prof Kavita stressed the need to opt creative professional education to grow in the future. Earlier, Sunil Kumar welcomed the guests and narrated the objective behind 'Samalokanam' programme.

He wished that the platform provides an opportunity to the students to choose design or architecture course and clarify doubts of students as well as their parents.

Sreeram presented the overview of GITAM since its inception to present day excelling. The day-long awareness programme on Architecture and Design provided more clarity for the aspirants.

Most the students and parents from the twin cities visited this fair and utilised the unique opportunity.
